Conference Workshop Spotlight: Smart Sleep Solutions – 4 months plus

Speaker: Janeen Hayward

Topics: Sleep Solutions

“…the great importance of healthy sleep in terms of brain development and emotional regulations…”

As we continue our series spotlighting presenters at this year’s INA Conference, we are taking a closer look at Janeen Hayward. Janeen Hayward has been working with children and families since 1998. In 2006 she founded Swellbeing, a parenting consultancy that focuses on helping parents navigate the difficult terrain around sleep, as well as a host of other developmental issues including potty training, positive discipline and sibling preparation. Janeen will be presenting “Smart Sleep Solutions 4-18 months” and “Smart Sleep Solutions for 18 months plus.”

We asked Ms Hayward what she hopes attendees get out her workshop and she told us “My hope is that caregivers walk away from my workshops with an appreciation for the great importance of healthy sleep in terms of brain development and emotional regulations, as well as sensible, age-appropriate strategies and tips to ensure optimal sleep.”

When we asked what presentation style she prefers to work from she shared this: “I prefer a more interactive style (presentation with engagement from attendees in terms of questions and scenarios).”
