Nanny Educational Opportunity – Working for Divorced Families

Have you been watching the speaker announcements regarding the INA’s 29th Annual Conference, Los Angeles CA March 27 – 30 2014?

The International Nanny Association has an amazing lineup of workshop for Nannies, Newborn Care Specialist, Nanny Agencies and other industry related business.  One of our most exciting workshops on the Nanny Track is Molly Skyar and Dr Susan Rutherford from Conversations with My Mother.  This mother daughter team will be presenting “Supporting a Divorced or Separating Family.”

Together Susan and Molly tackle tough questions covering all aspects of parenting with lively and opinionated dialog and a focus on how not to screw up your kids. In their mother-daughter/doctor-layperson conversations, they examine common parenting dilemmas such as handling behavior issues, discipline, marriage, divorce and separation, education, emotional issues, siblings, relationships, socialization and any other topics about raising kids.

In their workshop they will talk about helping families during divorce from the perspective of supporting the children and what caretakers can do to help. Molly Skyar, parent of two and Dr. Rutherford’s youngest daughter will moderate a Q & A session to address your concerns.

Conversations With My Mother is an online resource for offering practical parenting tips and psychological insight into raising kids. Dr. Rutherford is a Clinical Psychologist in practice for over 30 years. She has her undergraduate degree from Duke University, a Masters from New York University (NYU) and a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Denver.
