New Nanny Agency Workshop: Intensive Planning Session

What to Expect…Your First Year in Business and Beyond

The International Nanny Association is delighted to announce an intensive pre-conference workshop designed specifically for new nanny agencies and those planning the launch of their new nanny agency. This workshop will be held Thursday March 27 in conjunction with the INA’s 29th Annual Conference to be held in Los Angeles California.

Learn what to really expect during your first year in business and do away with any unrealistic expectations regarding agency ownership. A critical component to success is hearing about the experiences of other agency owners so you are more prepared for whatever comes your way. This is an in-depth workshop specifically directed to new agencies and those researching an agency start-up.

Rosalind Prather, a two-time business owner and “momtrepreneur” shares practical wisdom, innovative ideas for growing your business and the valuable lessons she learned along the road to success. From dealing with difficult clients to legal considerations to marketing on a budget, this workshop will address industry issues and important lessons that are relevant to all agency owners no matter how long they have been in business.

Rosalind is a third-generation small business owner and “momtrepreneur.” She currently co-owns Trusting Connections, Tucson’s premier nanny agency and serves as the company’s Placement Director and Sales and Marketing Director. Rosalind has worked with children in many capacities as a former professional nanny, an educator and a mother. As a two-time business owner, she has extensive experience with business operations and management, sales, marketing and PR. Rosalind is also the author of Tucson Poppins for Parents: Your Modern Day Child Care Expert, a blog featured on the Tucson Citizen and has made guest appearances on KVOA with Allison Alexander discussing topics relevant to families.

Rosalind will be joined by Lynn Peterson and Kathleen Webb. Lynn Peterson is the founder and owner of PFC Information Systems. Her firm provides gold-standard nanny applicant pre-employment screening services and she is a well respected expert in the field. Kathleen Webb is an owner and founder of HomeWork Solutions, a leading nanny payroll and tax services firm. Kathy is a nationally recognized expert in nanny employment tax compliance, nanny compensation, and special employment law in the household employment arena.
