Cortney Gibson, a leader in the newborn care industry, will cover the basics of newborn care for professionals and how you can use this information on the job with your clients. This three-hour pre-conference workshop is specifically designed for attendees who are considering a career in newborn care or who have only been working with newborns for a year or two. Experienced professionals who need a refresher or want to ensure they are using the safest and most current newborn care practices will also benefit. This session will prepare new caregivers for the more in-depth topics that will be discussed on Friday and Saturday.
The Newborn Care Specialist Pre-Conference Workshop will cover; breastfeeding basics, baby care, jaundice, safe sleep, duties of an NCS, working with new parents, and so much more. If you have ever thought about becoming a newborn care specialists, this extended session will be just the foundation you need to build your knowledge and experience for a thriving career. Cortney Gibson is a Newborn Care Specialist and Parent Educator. She holds a certificate in newborn care from Alexandria School, is a certified Maternity & Child Sleep Consultant, Green Birth Educator, Eco-Maternity Consultant, and attends the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where she will be certified as a health coach later this year.
