International Nanny Association – Ambassador Program

Do you have a passion for the INA and the nanny industry? Do you want to help educate nannies, agencies and businesses who are not INA members on how beneficial INA membership can be? You have come to the right place!

We are excited to introduce you to the brand new International Nanny Association – Ambassador Program.

Ambassador Program Team Members (AP Team Members) will work to help grow the INA membership and build relationships near and far! The goal of the AP Team Member is to get out and educate the community, raise awareness of the INA and to be a positive role model in the industry.

An AP Team Member’s journey is a two year commitment. During the two years the AP Team Member will attend a variety of different functions, educating the community about the INA while having fun. There are surprise incentives along the way and you will have the opportunity to earn commission! You heard it right! Commission! What could be better than that? Let us tell you more about about how the Ambassador Program works.

There are 10 spots available for our first application process. This elite program is selective and has an application process that includes a background check. Below you will find the timeline organized by phases.

Phase 1

December 15- January 31

Phase 1: Is the application process. Applicants will submit an online application. This will include a series of questions to be answered in essay format. Applicants will also be required to provide two professional and verifiable references.

If selected to move forward, applicants will be notified by February 1st, from the Ambassador Program (AP) committee, to move on to Phase 2.

Phase 2: Is the evaluation phase. A short video interview will be conducted with applicant and AP committee chair. This interview is the applicant’s time to shine. The AP committee chair is looking for confident and passionate members who have a special gift of enthusiasm to participate in this special program. Applicants will want to treat the video interview just as they would any other professional interview. References will also be checked during this time.

Phase 3: Is the selection process. The AP committee will make the final determination who the 10 AP Team Members will be. All applicants will be notified via email, regardless if they are selected or not. During this time the prospective AP Team Members will have a background check run and be responsible for $45 in AP Team Member dues.

AP Team Member dues are to help supply the two year journey. The initial incentives presented at conference will be the AP Team Member Pin with custom bar marking the year of participation (each year at conference, AP Team Member will have the opportunity to share about their journey and will receive the bar marking the current year), 100 personalized business cards and eligibility to earn 10% commission on all memberships that sign up using your personal code. Commission can be used on any INA product or membership.

Phase 4: After completing a successful background check with no discrepancies, the prospective AP Team Members will be notified and given further instructions on the next steps. At this time, AP Team Members will also begin the process of signing up for the events in which they are interested in attending. There will be a limit on how many AP Team Members can attend each event- as a representative, to maximize the benefits for everyone. Note: This does not mean that other AP Team Members are not eligible to attend the event, but rather that there will be designated people who will be earning commissions at each event.

So, how do you become an AP Team Member? Below are the requirements.

  1. Be a current INA Full Member in good standing
  2. Pass background check
  3. Attended at least one INA Conference in the last 3 years
  4. Be legally able to accept employment in the country of current employment
  5. Be legally paid as defined by the IRS (or country of current employment)
  6. Candidates are encouraged, but not required, to take the INA Nanny Credential Exam
  7. Be willing to pay a once per journey fee of $45.00 which will be your Ambassador Dues, covering costs related to your background check, pin and personalized business cards.
  8. Candidate plans to attend at least One Ambassador Program approved event, not limited to: Nannypalooza, APNA Conference, National Nanny Training Day, Nanny Ball, Nanny Jamboree, DEMA Conference. A full list will be provided upon completion of Phase 4 in the application process.

AP Team Members will be recognized at the INA Annual Conference. Attendance to the 2018 Conference is not required but if AP Team Members are not in attendance, they will need to pay to have their pin and business cards mailed to them.

Finally, do not be discouraged if you do not qualify or are not selected this year. We wish we could pick everyone! The INA has to make difficult decisions every year in regards to their special programs and keep in mind there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the INA organization! We look forward to a successful launch of this amazing program and welcoming/ introducing the first INA Ambassador Program Team Members at the 2018 Annual Conference in Tucson, Arizona!
