The entire INA Board of Directors is beyond excited to announce that INA’s 30th Annual Conference (That’s a big milestone!) will be April 23 – 26, 2015 in Cancun, Mexico.
This marks the first time the INA Annual Conference has been held outside the United States – and we felt it was high time we put the “International” into the 2015 INA Conference.
As we plan conference we are focused on:
1. Keeping it affordable – round trip air fare in April from major North American cities like New York, Chicago and even Los Angeles are expected to be in the $300 – $400 price range when booked early. The date falls after the Spring Break season and before the family holiday season, and airlines like to keep their planes full! There are also charter flight options from operators such as AppleVacations.com. Conference will be in an all-inclusive resort. Room rates are approximately $130 per person/Double, $120 per person/Triple, $175 per person/Single. This includes all meals (4 restaurants, 2 buffets and room service to choose from) and beverages (including adult beverages). Server tips are extra, and always appreciated. More hotel details to come in the next few weeks!
2. Keeping it safe – Cancun and its environs are very safe for tourists and residents alike. We are arranging private transportation options between the airport and the resort. Remember, you should have a passport or passport card to travel to Mexico. Although Mexico has its own currency, dollars are widely accepted in the tourist zone (and well beyond believe it or not!).
3. Keeping it educational – we will be experimenting with a different, extended length workshops format. Final details are to be announced, but the general idea is we will have approximately 3 hours of conference late Thursday April 23, followed by an opening reception and dinner. Friday and Saturday would have 2 extended length workshops per track, followed by a several hour program break in the afternoon to allow attendees to enjoy the beaches, pools and other amenities of beautiful Cancun, and then an evening reception and dinner for the group.
4. Keeping the networking opportunities our members love – there will be more group social opportunities, and we plan to have some group post-conference touring and recreation options available to attendees on Sunday April 26.
5. Making the International Nanny Association’s 30th Annual Conference celebratory – because 30 is a great big deal!
