Our second nominee is Catelin Matijevich from Chicago, Illinois. Catelin has been a nanny for over 12 years. To her, being a nanny is not a job but a lifestyle that she wakes up grateful each day to lead. She boasts that even her hobbies center around her career as a nanny and it is all very important to her. When she starts working with a new family she considers it the beginning of a special journey she will embark on with them. Catelin hopes to utilize things she has learned on each of her journey’s to help the new family. She believes it takes a supportive community to provide exceptional care and she considers herself lucky to have that in each of her positions.

Catelin was nominated by Jacob Tiedt and Erin L. Shencopp who stated “Cate has given our daughter confidence in her abilities to try new things and the tools to cope with the many emotions that young children face. She likes to say that ‘can’t is not a word in our vocabulary.’ Cate is truly an amazing and wonderful nanny.”
