The INA Board of Directors are representatives of the INA Membership, which consist of nannies, newborn care specialists, caregivers, educators, agency owners, business staff, parents and industry service providers. Each year the Nominating Committee strives to bring the membership nominees who will serve the organization to its fullest and meet or exceed the qualifications required to be eligible to serve on the Board of Directors. Once the nominees are accepted, a ballot is presented to the INA membership to cast their votes.
Voting begins today, Friday, May 9, 2025, and ends on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 11:59 PM US Eastern Standard Time.

Why do you want to be on the INA Board of Directors? I care deeply about the future of our industry and the caregivers who make it what it is. The INA has played a powerful role in shaping our profession, and I would be honored to contribute to that mission in a meaningful way. I want to help ensure that every nanny feels seen, supported, and empowered-whether they’re just starting out or have decades of experience.
Most important contribution to make to the INA Board of Directors? I believe one of the most important contributions I can make to the INA Board is bridging the gap between career nannies and the broader professional community by uplifting voices that are often underrepresented. With my background as a trilingual career nanny and my deep involvement in mentoring new nannies, I bring not only a wealth of hands-on experience but also a heart for advocacy and community building.
Biography Elainy is a trilingual career nanny with Dominican roots, a deep respect for village-style caregiving, and over a decade of experience supporting children and families across the U.S. and internationally. A proud INA member and Nanny of the Year nominee, she is known for her calm leadership, collaborative spirit, and dedication to respectful, individualized care.
She has worked extensively with high-profile and ultra-high-net-worth families. Passionate about mentorship, she is committed to uplifting newer nannies and creating spaces where all caregivers feel seen, supported, and empowered. She regularly shares her knowledge through one-on-one mentoring and community engagement, helping others navigate both the practical and emotional aspects of this work.
In addition to her caregiving, she volunteers with her local American Legion Auxiliary, reflecting her commitment to service and community building. Whether she’s guiding a new nanny, partnering with a family, or supporting a local cause, she leads with empathy, cultural awareness, and heart.

Biography Jeny Lynn has over 15 years of professional nanny experience and has dedicated her career to nurturing and supporting the development of young children, with a particular focus on ages six months to three years. Her caregiving approach is rooted in patience, joy, and a deep respect for each child’s individual journey.
Jeny holds certifications in CPR, First Aid, AED, Water Safety, and has completed various specialized trainings and attended INA conferences in Portland and London. She also serves on the planning committee for SFiNNTD, where she collaborates with fellow professionals to uplift and advance the nanny community.
As a nominee for the International Nanny Association Board, Jeny brings not only extensive hands-on experience, but also a strong commitment to advocacy, professional development, and community-building. She is especially passionate about welcoming and encouraging new nannies to engage with INA, helping them feel supported, seen, and empowered as they begin their careers.

Why do you want to be on the INA Board of Directors?The INA’s mission and vision to further advance the nanny industry, along with taking consistent actions to raise the professional standards, align with my goals for the nanny community. Without any reservation, they are the primary reasons I accepted Dr. Llewellyn Cornelius’ nomination to be on the INA Board of Directors.
To achieve the ever-evolving pursuit of industry growth, it takes diverse perspectives, talent, experience, heart, positive attitude, and unshakable integrity. Over the past 40 years, the INA has built an incredibly strong nanny community and built a library of invaluable resources on a professional platform. Truly, there is no other nanny organization that compares to the INA. However, there are areas of the ‘umbrella’ which need widening and strengthening. I want to share a part of my 25 years experience as an agency owner, consultant, and mentor to help position the INA for its next 40 years of growth!

Biography Lisa DesBoine-Murray is the Founder and Owner of Duchess Nannies & Domestics, a luxury household management and private service placement agency known for delivering customized domestic staffing solutions. Her company also encompasses The Herbert Alfred Agency and Nannies From The Heart. With over 25 years of experience in high-end placements, Lisa prioritizes training, advocacy, and ongoing support.
She currently serves on the board of the Estate Management Network and actively supports the International Nanny Association (INA). Lisa is a former volunteer of the APNA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Task Committee, a mentor for the APNA Accelerator Program, and has contributed to Nanny Magazine and numerous industry events. She also co-founded AMONAPN, a nonprofit dedicated to uniting minority-owned agencies and nannies to advance industry standards.
Lisa recently completed Loyola College’s 6-month ASPIRE Leadership for Entrepreneurial Women course and was recognized as a SUCCESS Magazine Women of Influence Finalist for her trailblazing work in the domestic staffing field.
Lisa studied Business at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), is a mother of four, a proud “Nanny” to six grandchildren, and enjoys travel, crafts, books, and the Hallmark Channel.

Biography Stephanie Fornaro is the founder of Hello Nanny, a modern placement agency built to connect families with reliable, professional childcare providers. With over 20 years of experience in business development and sales, Stephanie’s journey into the childcare world is both professional and deeply personal.
As a single mother of her first child, she navigated parenthood without a support system. Thirteen years later, with the birth of her second son and the ability to hire a nanny, she experienced the life-changing impact of reliable childcare. This connection inspired her to dive into the industry and ultimately launch Hello Nanny—an agency rooted in empathy, professional standards, and respect for nannies and families alike.
Stephanie is a certified CASA advocate, Fair Play facilitator, an active member of APNA and Postpartum Support International. She’s passionate about addressing the disconnect between families and nannies and works to elevate the childcare profession.
Beyond her mission-driven work, Stephanie enjoys wakeboarding, global travel, and culinary adventures. Her belief in the power of community drives everything she does, with a focus on building strong, supported families through trusted care.

I am eager to return to the INA Board of Directors, as I remain deeply committed to the INA mission and dedication to supporting its members in all capacities. My recent previous experience on the board allowed me to contribute ideas to the theme of future benefits for membership, upkeep of internal processes, and vision to future possible developments. I see myself as simple team player—someone who can help bridge together the differences in ideas, people, and resources to work toward moving the INA forward. I believe my most important contribution to the Board of Directors is my ability to be flexible and dive into whatever is needed at any time to accomplish task pressing forward towards the INA’s mission. I strive to ask thoughtful questions, provide balanced perspective, and support decision-making that aligns with both short-term realities and long-term vision. Whether through governance, task oversight, or pivoting through transitions, my goal is always to help the board function effectively, collaboratively, and with integrity.
Biography Tamara Gardner, affectionately known as “Miss Tammy” by the children she works with, brings over 13 years of dedicated experience in the Childcare Industry. Her journey has included roles such as Family Assistant/Nanny, After School Program Director, as well as Youth and Family Engagement Coordinator, giving her a well-rounded perspective on supporting youth from newborns to teenagers.
Known for her warm energy and creativity, Tamara is passionate about creating engaging activities and enriching environments where children can grow and thrive.
Tamara earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Towson University, where she deepened her understanding of child development and human behavior. Her educational background, combined with hands-on experience, allows her to tailor activities youth and their families can learn and collaborate from for years to come.
Beyond her professional work, Tamara enjoys music, spending time with friends, and aiding her church in various committees. She is also passionate about giving back through community service, which reflects her heart for connection and positive impact. Biography Tassecia Simpson-Little, affectionately known as “Sherry,” is a dedicated professional nanny with over 21 years of experience helping children grow into happy, healthy, and compassionate individuals. Her passion for child development and commitment to the nanny profession have made her a respected leader in the industry.
Beyond her work with families, Tassecia is the founder of The Nanny Cards, a greeting card company celebrating nannies and those who support them. She is also the visionary behind the Westchester Nanny Network Facebook group, a group dedicated to elevating, educating, and empowering nannies through resources, mentorship, and advocacy.
An active community leader, Tassecia has hosted and presented at International Nanny Training Day in Westchester County, NY, since 2023. She was named NYC Mommybites’ inaugural Nanny of the Year in 2021 and, in 2023, was elected to the Board of Directors for the International Nanny Association (INA), where she has served for the past two years.
With a mission to inspire and uplift, Tassecia continues to champion the nanny profession, leaving a lasting impact on both caregivers and the families they serve.
