While we’re on the subject of professionalization, here’s how we’re doing our part. In addition to financial support for the INA through annual memberships and sponsorships, we also have invested in free tools and resources as an extension of the agency placement process so that, together, we can make professional pay accessible to more families and nannies. Here’s a few of those free resources:

- Calculators for families and nannies
- Assistance with contracts, tax breaks and non-taxable forms of compensation
- A free trial program called SmartStart to get everything up and running smoothly for families and nannies (without any obligation to join our service)
Three decades later, we’re still providing all those programs through our placement agency partners. Recently, we’ve added a more streamlined, simplified onboarding process and a TimeTracker app that allows caregivers to log regular and overtime hours for super simple payroll processing. Busy families and nannies have told us that they really appreciate how easy we make everything.
These ongoing investments are part of our 30-year commitment to help nannies get the professional benefits they need and deserve – without placing a burden on families and agencies. During interesting times, things like unemployment income, disability income, stimulus checks, social security income, Medicare, child tax credit payments, and the ability to procure a loan/credit become essential protections. We’re very proud to facilitate that – and do our part to make the interesting times less interesting!
