Why Should I Ask for a Conference Guide?

The 33rd Annual International Nanny Association Conference is coming soon – May 17-20, 2018 in Tucson, AZ. Those of us that are attending may be already mentally packing and ready for warm Arizona weather. If you have been to an INA Conference, you pretty much know what to expect, but for those of you who will be joining us for the first time, you may have some questions.

Let the INA Conference Guides help you. Whether you are an agency owner or employee, industry service, new nanny or a seasoned nanny, the INA Conference Guides are here to make you feel welcome.

INA Conference Guides contact first-time attendees in the weeks before the conference to interact, chat, and answer questions the first-time attendee might have. Many questions are addressed on the INA Conference website and Facebook page but giving a first-time attendee a personal connection is what we are all about.

Nanny Carli Lintemuth had this to say about her Conference Guide experience in Louisville, KY at the 28th Annual INA Conference –

“Attending my first INA Conference in Louisville, I didn’t know a single person. Here I was, in a hotel full of complete strangers, but I did have a lifeline. I had a Conference Guide! It was very reassuring to know that there was always at least one person to show me the ropes, to sit with at lunch, and to introduce me around. It wasn’t long before I had made many lasting friendships, but having a Conference Guide really made the experience more enjoyable and less scary!”

From another first-timer, Jill Keeley, her experience with a Conference Guide at the 29th Annual INA Conference –

“In 2014 I attended my second INA Conference in beautiful, sunny Los Angeles. It was my first conference I attended that I had a conference guide, Karen Yatsko. Having a guide made all the difference for me. Karen was a great guide who planned great outings and helped all of us out in many ways. I myself was recovering from strep throat and was the slowpoke of our group. Karen held back with me and offered to walk with me. Another girl in our group fell ill at dinner, and Karen saw to it she made it back safely to our hotel and even had her dinner boxed to go for her. Having attended the conference before with no guide, I was hesitant to venture out and meeting new people was difficult. I’m totally in support of conference guides. I left conference having forges life-long friendships made via our guide.”

If you know any first-time attendees, please let them know we have Conference Guides available willing to help them transition into the INA Conference atmosphere thus leaving with a great experience. To sign up for a Conference Guide, you must be registered for conference. During the registration process, you’ll be asked if you’d like to be matched with a conference guide. Indicate yes, and we’ll pass your information along to the Conference Guide Coordinator. Already registered? Email conference@nanny.org to request your Conference Guide.

See you in Tucson!
