Every year at our Annual Conference the INA recognizes one Childcare Professional for his or her personal achievements working as a Nanny or Newborn Care Specialist (NCS). The INA Nanny of the Year is a positive role model for our industry and association, a genuine advocate for children and a person who has enriched the lives of the families for whom he or she has worked.

The NOTY™ Committee has been hard at work this year, researching and collaborating with past and current key players, to make necessary updates. One goal,  to add simplicity, clarity, and relevance to the process for both the candidates and Selection Committee. The first significant updates have been to the Selection Committee’s Evaluation Form (used for scoring based on set criteria) and the candidate’s essay questions. In the coming months, we’ll be sharing more about the requirements, process, and selection to bring transparency to you, our members.

Nominees for NOTY™ must meet the criteria outlined on our website and in the 2020 NOTY Information Packet. Individuals can be nominated by current or past employers, fellow colleagues who work closely with the individual or placement agencies with whom the candidate has been placed. The nomination/portfolio process is a thorough one, so we have provided a step-by-step outline within the 2020 NOTY™ Information Packet and in November we will feature our NOTY™ Portfolio Submission Blog Series to provide a breakdown of each step.

Members, is there a nanny or NCS that you would like to see nominated? We would love your involvement. Please, send out a message or two and encourage someone to accept a nomination!

The NOTY™ Nomination Deadline is October 30, 2019.  Nominate someone today!

Have more questions, contact the office and we will answer them at  memberservices@nanny.org
