In May of 2018, the Conference Committee and Board of Directors prepared a short poll in order to gauge where the majority of our members and interested individuals would be most interested in having our 35th Anniversary Conference in 2020. The choices were Canada, Mexico/Caribbean, Europe or a Cruise. We also promised to release the results of that poll. Here is the raw data:
- Canada – 127
- Mexico/Caribbean – 122
- Europe – 122
- Cruise – 76
Taking a cruise has been eliminated not only because of the low numbers it received in the poll but because we had dozens of individuals tell us that they would NOT be able to attend a cruise due to motion sickness.
Beyond that, the numbers are far from conclusive. The Board and Conference Committee were hoping that there would be a large margin one way or the other. At this point, Canada is slightly ahead but not enough for the Board of Directors and Conference Committee to rule out Mexico/Caribbean or Europe. So we will be investigating options in all three of these general locations. Stay tuned for more information as we begin to gather things.
