“… creates an inspired confidence in providing what children need most from those caring for children.”
In this posting, we are going to meet Deborah McNelis. Ms. McNelis is an author, international speaker, educator and parent. As a Brain Development Specialist and founder of Brain Insights LLC, Deborah has developed the unique Brain Development Series and Naturally Developing Young Brains activity packets. We are fortunate to have Ms. McNelis presenting two workshops this year, “Infant Brain Development” and “Gender Differences in Brain Development.
When we asked Ms. McNelis what she hopes attendees get out of her workshops, she told us “What I hope the attendees will get out of the workshops is a clear understanding of the ways in which experiences in everyday life directly impact the way a brain develops. These experiences have a direct influence on behavior, moods, learning, health and well-being in life. This understanding creates an inspired confidence in providing what children need most from those caring for children.”
And when we asked her her style of workshop presentation, she replied: “The style I work from is what I would call a relaxed information/interaction style. There is a lot of information shared, but it is done with demonstrations and simulations that provide a fun way for participants to interact and ask questions throughout.”
