The INA Nominating Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2020 Board of Directors. Nominations are due Sunday, December 1, 2019 and the election of the INA Board of Directors will be conducted January 6-20, 2020. If you have additional questions, please send a request to

If you know a member of INA who has exceptional ideas and exhibits the ability to follow through, please consider nominating him or her. If this description fits you, please nominate yourself.

The next term will begin May 2, 2020. Members of the INA Board of Directors are nominated directly by the membership.

Considerations: Serving as a Board Member requires a personal commitment of time. The INA Board of Directors meets in the fall for a 2-day Board Meeting as well as the day before and the day after the Annual Conference. There are also two additional Board Meetings via phone call every year and monthly Board check-in calls that Board Members should make every effort to attend each month. Newly elected Board Members are requested to join the Thursday morning Board Meeting at the Annual Conference usually starting at 8 AM and plan to stay until 1 PM on Sunday after the Conference. All Board Members are asked to chair at least one committee which requires between 2 – 5 hours a week. For a list of Board of Director’s related expenses that are eligible for reimbursement, please send an e-mail request to INA at The Directors serve a two-year term, and Executive Board Members serve a one-year term.

Qualifications: Only individuals who are Members of INA are eligible to be nominated to serve on the INA Board of Directors and attendance at a past INA Conference is required to join the Board. Please note that ALL INA Members are now eligible for nominations to the Board of Directors. This is a policy change that has taken place in November of 2019. Previous attendance at a minimum of one INA conference is also required and service on an INA committee is a plus!

Nominating Procedure: Interested in nominating yourself or another INA member? The process is simple! The nominee should fill out the online INA Board of Directors Nomination Form found in your INA member portal. All nominations must be completed by November 25, 2019, to be considered by the nominating committee. Based on the findings of the nominating committee, a slate will be compiled to present to the entire INA membership on January 6, 2020.

Executive Board: The INA Executive Board is voted into office by the standing (current) INA Board of Directors at the end of January 2020. Only members who have served on the INA Board of Directors for a minimum of one term are eligible to serve on the INA Executive Board. A term is defined as the time between our Annual Conferences.
