Speaker: Jaclyn Burke
Topics: Be the Best Agency by Finding the Best Nannies – 5 Nanny Hacks
“There is a revolution coming I think in terms of understanding the role of caregivers in our society…”
Let’s get to know a little more about Jaclyn Burke. Ms. Burke is the author of “The Nanny Time Bomb: Navigating the Crisis in Child Care” (Praeger 2015) We are excited for Jaclyn to be presenting workshops geared both toward the Nanny and the Agency sections of our industry. Her nanny geared workshop is about the Top 5 Nanny Hacks and focuses on a nanny’s career game. Her Agency geared workshop focuses on Being the Best Agency by Finding the Best Nannies.
When we asked Jaclyn what she hopes attendees get from her workshops she told us: “I hope most sincerely that attendees are inspired first and second have a deeper sense of connection to their unique calling in life. I have such respect and awe of amazing nannies – people who choose to nurture and enhance another human being’s life over many years in partnership with parents. There is a revolution coming I think in terms of understanding the role of caregivers in our society and I hope to support and nurture the mission that my attendees have set themselves. Finally and this really is important, I want attendees to leave with a greater sense of personal power over their own careers in a modern marketplace.”
When we asked about her presentation style she said: “I am a fan of multiple tools. I believe that all of us possess the skills that we seek, so I intend to use some role-playing interactive exercises to bring out those skills as well as offering a visual presentation and leaving attendees with useful handouts for them to keep and use.”
