Today we get to know a little more about Miranda Kerns. Ms. Kerns is a licensed CPA and works as a Financial Statement Auditor with RS US, the 5th largest public accounting firm in the US. She will be presenting a workshop entitled “Understanding Financial Statements at this year’s conference.
When we asked Miranda what she hopes people get out of her workshops she told us: “The goal is to help new business owners know what their financial statements are and how they relate to their business and decisions. The finances are the groundwork of any business, so knowledge in this area is a very beneficial tool.”
We asked her about her presentation style she told us that it will be a combination of lecture and interaction.

More about Miranda Kerns: Miranda Kerns is a licensed CPA and currently works as a Financial Statement Auditor with RSM US LLP, the 5th largest public accounting firm in the United States. Prior to working in public accounting, Miranda kept the books of a small company for 10 years while also working for her father’s company. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, first with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, and then with a Master’s degree in Accounting. Miranda is the mom of a very sweet and energetic 5-year-old, Levi. In her spare time, Miranda loves to read, travel, spend time with friends, and try new adventures.
